You will be responsible for the provision of professional support and guidance in all HR issues relating to the site coupled with the daily management of the HR Function and HR Administrator.
This role involves industrial relations processing, including negotiations and consultations, and the implementation of HR policies and procedures whilst providing guidance and support to managers in disciplinary and grievance matters. You will drive forward the performance management processes for the site and ensure appropriate development actions are taken including the identification of training needs whilst coordinating the training activities in line with Group policy.

CAN YOU MEET THE CHALLENGE?

You will manage headcount ,co-ordinate appropriate recruitment activities, including dealing with agencies, setting up and conducting interviews, test sessions and preparing all associated correspondence including plant, SHE, Quality and Audit documentation whilst working within Lean Manufacturing concepts of the plant and promoting Lean principles and culture.

In a nutshell; they are looking for a talented HR Officer who can add significant value to their Human Resources function with a track record of active involvement in HR procedures and employee relations, including disciplinary, grievances and absence management, with the ability to manage the plant HR function. This will include a demonstrable ability to communicate at all levels of the Company and a flexible, common sense approach to work.

This is very much a team role and, as such, ideas assassins need not apply!

In order to be successful you will be CIPD qualified or studying toward a professional qualification, able to use MS Office software including HR Systems/Databases and, ideally, have experience of working within a plant/site/group management team in a Manufacturing/automotive environment. Likewise, previous experience of working within a unionised environment would be desirable.
