Title: Sales / Account Director Enterprise Software (Telco Vertical) - Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing (UK & Ireland)
Salary: 70-80K + OTE + Bens

Our Client is a global vendor of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions for Global Enterprise Companies. We are looking to hire an experienced Sales / Account Director to join their European team selling their BI and DW solutions to UK and Irish Telco Service provider accounts.

Role Overview:
This person will be responsible for direct sales (orders and revenue) in new accounts within the Telco service provider vertical within the UK and Ireland (including software, professional services, hardware and support services).

Products such as:
  • Customer Retention Management Solutions
  • Campaign Management Solutions
  • Network Infrastructure Warehouse
  • Scalable Data Warehousing
  • Customer Interaction Solutions
  • Database software, and Object Relational technologies
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Capitalize on industry knowledge and contacts to uncover business opportunities
  • Effectively advise and influence customers through consultative selling techniques
  • Research the customer environment to be able to populate the business impact model
  • Articulate the solution in terms of ROI to the customer
  • Utilize team members including post-sale delivery professionals, pre-sale technical professionals, and management to achieve business objectives
  • Rely on excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to initiate and maintain executive-level interaction and customer satisfaction
  • Develop new business opportunities and close new account business
  • Close profitable scalable data warehouse solution business incorporating hardware, software, professional services, and customer services
  • Understand and articulate the value of our clients Professional Services
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • BS degree in a business-related field (Marketing, Sales, Management, Communications)
  • Demonstrated success in sales. 75%+ success record for making sales goals
  • Demonstrated success managing a large account relationship
  • Demonstrated success developing new account opportunities
  • Experience in selling software/applications specifically in the database space. Some technical knowledge of hardware is necessary (other applicable includes ERP sales, Date Transformation sales)
  • Experience in selling and articulating the value of Professional Services to customers
For more information please do feel free to contact us but do bear in mind that as a minimum candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Proven complex, solution selling experience to business and IT functions (Sales processed which take at least 12 months.)
  • Have experience of selling big deals, i.e. >2m in size
  • Telco Domain experience is not mandatory but you need to demonstrate these first two points as a minimum
